Well played!
How to play Hidden Links
Click three pictures on Easy, four on other levels. The game checks your group automatically when all pictures are selected. Click a card again to deselect it.
A correct group joins together with an explanation. A wrong selection is marked, then cleared so you can try again. Picture names stay visible at every level. Expert does not flag nearly correct groups.
Discovery mode allows unlimited mistakes, with no timer or account required.
Explore the links and their explanations
These notes reveal the answers. Open them after playing, or to learn before you start.
Scientists

Einstein and Newton shaped physics, Curie studied radioactivity and Darwin developed the theory of evolution. They all worked in scientific research.
Writers

Hugo, Shakespeare, Austen and Tolstoy are literary authors. Their novels and plays made their characters famous around the world.
Painters

Van Gogh, Picasso, Morisot and Monet all painted pictures. Their styles differ greatly: the link is painting, not a single artistic movement.
Composers

Mozart, Beethoven, Bach and Chopin composed music. They lived in different periods and were more than performers.
Travellers and explorers

Magellan, Marco Polo, Cousteau and Amundsen are known for travel and exploration: sea routes, Asia, the underwater world and polar regions.
Filmmakers

Chaplin, Hitchcock, Méliès and Alice Guy-Blaché directed films. Chaplin is also famous as an actor, but directing links all four.
Frequently asked questions
Is the game free without registration?
Yes. Games are free and progress is saved in this browser.
How do the four levels work?
Easy has nine pictures and names the groups. Medium has twelve with hidden groups. Hard has sixteen. Expert keeps sixteen and gives stricter feedback without flagging almost-correct groups. Names are always visible.
Is the daily puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes, at the same level. It changes at midnight in Paris. Results include the level and mistakes.
